I feel so much joy when I get to step behind my camera and capture priceless moments for couples. I’m a big fan of ice cream, prefer late nights over early mornings, and live for planning my next big international journey.
On a Saturday morning, the Art Institute was busy. Even though we bought tickets online to save time and got there right when it opened, it seemed many people had the same idea we did – stay out of the cold! This time of year in Chicago is all over the place with weather, and before Kristin & Ike’s engagement session, I was stalking weather apps to see what degrees we would be faced with. Instead of trying to brave the cold, we opted for one of the most gorgeous museums in the city, the Art Institute of Chicago! With incredible staircases, hidden gems, and ample natural light, it has become one of my favorite places to photograph engagement sessions.
From slow dancing in the sculpture room, to walking up and down stairs a few times, Kristin & Ike were such a dream to spend the morning with! I am so incredibly excited to share these photos of their session, and to photograph them all over again for their wedding in a few weeks!
